Download Subtitles and Captions

Vyond’s new subtitle and caption generation option makes it easy to share your videos to a wider audience.

Whether you are watching a video in a loud or quiet environment, or you just want some privacy from those who may be listening in on your video, closed captions are designed to help you better understand the video content. 

What’s the difference between subtitles and captions?

Subtitles contain the text of what’s being said in a video. For a video made in Vyond that includes:

  • Text from text-to-speech
  • Text transcribed from mic recordings, uploaded audio, and video

Captions contain the text of what’s being said in a video and also info about the audio. For a video made in Vyond that includes:

  • Text from text-to-speech
  • Text transcribed from mic recordings, uploaded audio, and video
  • Track names for audio, such as music and sound effects in the timeline

How to download subtitles and captions from your video

When you’ve finished your video in Vyond Studio, click on the ‘Download’ menu. You will see a new ‘Subtitles/Captions’ section. Generate either subtitles or captions, and you will be able to download a zip file containing .srt and .vtt files which pair the text with video timing. Upload these files along with your video to your chosen video hosting platform in order to enable closed captioning.

Language support

Vyond currently supports audio transcription in closed captions in more than 50 languages. As we continue to improve the accessibility of our studio, we’ll have more enhancements coming.

We have added 3 simple yet effective presentation layout templates featuring a mix of notepad, comic book, and animated frame designs. Look for “presentation” to locate them in the template library.

A set of 10 Get Inspired videos are now available in the template library to help you discover and use Vyond to its fullest potential. Find them easily with the newly added filter next to the search bar called Video Tips.

Last but not least, we have added 4 new sets of content packs covering themes of travel, indoor sport, pastime and virtual meeting.

With Vyond Go, the ‘Talking head’ layout also includes a variety of customizable title cards using words from the script to help you better illustrate your ideas, making your video informative, structured, and engaging. Once your AI-generated video is ready, you can open Quick Edit mode to make any tweaks to your video script and title cards.

Lisa and More Voices

Vyond gives you the power to use lip sync voices in different scenes so you can deliver the most engaging videos. We periodically update the text-to-speech tool with more voices. This latest enhancement includes 3 new voices for you to use.

Here is a list of our newly added voices:

  • Serbian, Latin: Nicholas
  • Serbian, Latin: Sophie

Additionally, we have updated the names of 2 existing Serbian voices for clarity and ease of use in Cyrillic:

Focus With Keyboard Shortcuts

At Vyond, we strive to make our tools inclusive and user-friendly through continuous feature enhancements. We are excited to release some new keyboard shortcuts to make it easier and quicker to navigate around your web browser when using Vyond. The shortcuts allow you to focus on certain components on the page.
